Spring School - An Introduction to Agile DevelopmentThis year the Spring School focuses on Agile development. We have been lucky to secure some very high profile speakers. The spring school is now full. This series of four lectures will be held on March 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd, and is hosted by the Bristol Institute of Technology at the University of the West of England. Topics to be covered are:
The series is Introduced by David Hicks. David is a Founder Member of the Agile Alliance and Managing Director of Agile services company RADTAC. The second lecture is by David Deans on Development/Engineering Practices. Dave Deans provides Process Improvement consultancy, including the application of Agile practices to systems and software development. The Development/Engineering Practices will be further developed by Giovanni Asproni. Of all Agile development processes for producing quality software Test Driven Development (TDD) is key. To round off Allan Kelly will give us The Future of Agile. Allan is the author of "Changing Software Development: Learning to become Agile". Charges for the series have been kept extremely low. Please note that parking permits are required and may be obtained from the campus gatehouse. See the campus map.
